AIX 6.1 RAC 환경에서 오라클 Hang & 리부팅 이슈 해결

모 사이트의 AIX 6.1 환경의 Oracle RAC에서 트래픽이 늘어나 주기적으로 DB HANG 현상이 발생햇는데

찾아보니 이런 문제가 있었습니다. 

AIX 패치를 통해 해결을 권고 하네요.

Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version 10.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.3 [Release 10.2 to 11.2] 

IBM AIX on POWER Systems (64-bit)

SYMPTOMS

The instance is being terminated by lmon due to lms not moving as the load is very high, shortly the node got

evicted as it's not responding to other nodes in the cluster anymore.

The nmon's top-processes interface displays shlap64 cost lots of CPU resource.

This issue can appear as a node hang or the oracle RAC instance can not be connected to.

CAUSE

AIX kernel issue: APAR IV04047 - unable to process oracle request leading to a kernel hung.

SOLUTION

Apply kernel level 6.1.6.16 onward.
